Chasewater
Open Water Swimming, give it a go, you can just turn up & hire a wet suit. Dogs are welcome & there’s a nice walk around the Chase. A great day out even if you don’t want to take a dip.

The knot & plough
Literally a 5 minute drive from Nightingale Cottage. You can sit inside or out with your dog & have a carvery there’s also a huge selection of other meals to choose from.

Walk at Haughton hidden gem
We found this walk after having lunch at the Bell Inn with Daisy & wanted her to have a nice walk off the lead. Locals advised us of the place which was perfect.

Walk around the gardens & I’m sure you will be tempted to buy a rose or two. Dogs are welcome around the gardens & there is an outside area to eat. Great food in the cafe too.

A traditional dog friendly pub. Excellent value lunch time meals. We enjoy also visiting Red Lion Farm which is 5 minutes away by car to get their famous ice cream & cakes. To walk it off we then go a walk down the old railway which is also listed

Just off from the canal is the trust which had a lovely cafe & is dog friendly. Situated next to the garden centre & several small businesses selling bespoke items. Well worth a visit
